The selection of creasing matrix

The specifications of creasing matrix are marked by the groove depth (mm) and groove width of creasing matrix (mm). Therefore, the selection of creasing matrix based on the thickness of the paper and steel wire.

Basically, for the paperboard, the groove depth of creasing matrix is as same as the thickness of the paperboard. For the corrugated cardboard, the groove depth of creasing matrix is as same as the thickness of corrugated cardboard after pressing flat.

The selection principle of groove depth:

For the paperboard, the groove depth of creasing matrix can be calculated as follows:

B= (1.3-1.5)C+d

B is groove depth of creasing matrix, C is compacted thickness of paperboard, d is thickness of steel wire.

When the direction of paperboard thread is parallel to the creasing matrix, the coefficient takes the low value; When the direction of paperboard thread is perpendicular to the creasing matrix, the coefficient takes the high value.

For the corrugated cardboard, the groove depth of creasing matrix can be calculated as follows:

B is groove depth of creasing matrix, C is compacted thickness of corrugated cardboard, d is thickness of steel wire.

When the direction of corrugated cardboard thread is parallel to the creasing matrix, the coefficient takes the low value; When the direction of corrugated cardboard thread is perpendicular to the creasing matrix, the coefficient takes the high value.
